Charlotte earned the win for their coach, pulling out a 16-14 victory in the fifth game. Kathleen Ramos posted a double-double with 19 kills and 12 digs to lead the 49ers. Courtney Burg also came up big in the match with 17 kills.

The Niners began the match strong with a decisive 30-19 win in game one. Providence fought Charlotte the rest of the way, winning games two and four, 31-29 and 33-31, respectively. The 49ers earned the win in game three, 30-22, before clinching the victory in game five.
