Charlotte Individuals Begin USA Track and Field Competition Thursday

Three Niners Take to Indy Track in Final Domestic Meet of 2006-2007

Indianapolis, Ind. - Shareese Woods and Tsehaye Dagnachew begin their final domestic meet in Niner green while Aaron Kauffman races in his first national competition this weekend at the USA Track and Field Nationals in Indianapolis. The schedule for the three begins Thursday as Kauffman and Dagnachew begin preliminary races. Woods starts towards the finals in her event on Saturday.

Kauffman will be the first to race for Charlottte, as he competes in the Junior National event in the 800m dash. His first preliminary race is at 1:10 p.m. Thursday. Dagnachew will run in the 3000m steeplechase at 4:15 on Thursday.

Should Kauffman make the finals, he will compete again at 1:40 p.m. on Friday.

Woods starts her quest for a 200m dash championship on Saturday at 4:30 p.m. and Dagnachew would race again at 5:50 p.m. Saturday.

Woods could potentially race twice on Sunday's final day of competition. THe semifinals for the 200m dash is at 12:15 and the finals are slated for 2:30 p.m.

ESPN2 and NBC have intermittent coverage of the event. Check your local listings for days and times.
