SACRAMENTO, Calif. - The Charlotte 49ers' Amber Reddick is slated to compete in the triple jump at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships, being held this week at California State University, Sacramento. The qualifying round for the triple jump will be held Thursday, June 12.

Reddick qualified for NCAAs with a fourth-place finish in the triple jump at last month's NCAA East Regionals at George Mason. The Conference USA champion in the long jump, she recorded a distance of 42-2. Her mark was the best for the 49ers this season and a school record.

Reddick is the latest in a growing list of 49ers to compete at the NCAA Championships. This is the fourth consecutive year that Charlotte has sent members to the outdoor championships. Rephel Martin earned All-America honors in the triple jump in 2000. Will Montgomery did it in 2001 and 2002 in the long jump.

The top 12, including ties advance to the finals. The finals are scheduled for a 10:15 ET start on Saturday, June 14.
