Sharonda Johnson won the triple jump at the Conference USA Championships, this past weekend. She won the event with a distance of 42-5.5, her fourth-longest mark of the season. It was also her seventh NCAA regional qualifying mark of the spring. It was the second-straight C-USA title for Johnson, who won the same event at this winter's league indoor championships.
Johnson and the rest of the 49ers will return to action in two weeks, when the team travels to Florida for the NCAA regional meet.
