Senior Qualifies for Regional Competition in a Third Event in 2007

Philadelphia, Pa. - Charlotte senior Shareese Woods has been named Atlantic 10 Women's Track and Field Performer of the Week, officials announced this week. This is her first performer of the week honor during the outdoor season. Woods was named Women's Indoor Track Performaer of the Week four times during the indoor season.

Woods posted an NCAA regional qualifying time of 11.50 in the 100m dash on Apr. 6 in rainy conditions at the Texas Relays. It marks the third event she has qualified for the NCAA regionals in this season, which also includes the 4x100m relay and the 400m dash.

Woods will attempt to qualify in yet another event this weekend, the 200m, as Charlotte travels to the Sea Ray Relays in Knoxville, Tenn.
