49ers Head to Florida and Duke Relays After Strong Start to Outdoor Season

13 NCAA Regional Qualifying Performances Turned In Thus Far

Charlotte, N.C. - Coming off a strong showing at the Raleigh Relays last weekend, the Charlotte 49ers outdoor track and field teams will split squads this weekend, sending competitors to the Florida Relays and Duke Relays. Thus far this season, the 49ers have turned in 13 regional-qualifying performances.

Charlotte accumulated an astounding nine qualifying times at the 49er Classic March 28-29 at the Irwin Belk Track and Field Complex (qualifying time in parentheses):

  • Lamarra Currie - 100m, 11.56 (11.75); 200m, 23.64 (23.96)
  • Courtney Patterson - 100m, 11.67 (11.75)
  • Aja Jackson - 800m, 2:08.94 (2:09.80)
  • Sunita Brathwaite - 100m hurdles, 13.78 (13.92)
  • 4x100m Relay Team - 45.31 (45.70)
  • Pat Springs - Long jump, 6.07m (6.00m)
  • Danielle Brown - Triple jump, 12.43m (12.32m)
  • Korel Mack - 110m hurdles, 14.28 (14.30)
  • The 49ers tacked on four more qualifying performances at the Raleigh Relays at N.C. State:

  • Tsehaye Dagnachew - 3000m steeplechase, 10:30.51 (10:50.25)
  • Lamarra Currie - 100m, 11.47 (11.75)
  • Courtney Patterson - 100m, 11.55 (11.75)
  • Darius Law - 400m, 46.79 (47.20)
