Charlotte's Curry Named A-10 Women's Track Performer of the Week

A Pair of Qualifying Times Merits Second Naming for Niners' Sophomore

Philadelphia, Pa. - Charlotte sophomore Lamarra Currie was today named the women's track Performer of the Week for the Atlantic 10 Conference.

The Apex, N.C. native took the 100m dash title at the 2007 Charlotte Invitational, with an NCAA regional-qualifying time of 11.67 seconds.

She finished second in the 200m dash with a personal-best time of 24.24 seconds and was on the 4x100m relay team that posted an NCAA regional-qualifying time of 45.02 seconds.

This marks the second time in the past three weeks that Curry has been named women's track Performer of the Week.
