PALO ALTO, Calif. - The Charlotte 49ers had a pair of student-athletes receive All-America notice at the USA Track and Field's Junior National Championships this weekend. Benjamin McCallum and Sharonda Johnson finished seventh in the 200 meters and triple jump, respectively, to earn recogntion.

McCallum was seventh in the 200 with a time of 21.77. His time in the finals nearly mirrored the time he logged in the preliminaries, 21.79. He also competed in the 100 meters, recording a time of 11.14 in the prelims.

Johnson covered a distance of 40-0.5 to place seventh in the triple jump. It was her second-longest mark of the season in the event.

James Bacon also made the trip to Stanford. He competed in the 400 meters and turned in a time of 48.26.
