Pair of Niners End Their Track Season at Indy Today

Indianapolis, Ind. - Tsehaye Dagnachew and Aaron Kauffman finished their 2007 track and field season today at the USA Track and Field Nationals at the IU Michael A. Carroll Track & Soccer Stadium at Indiana University Purdue University-Indianapolis Thursday.
Dagnachew, finishing her track career in Indy, finished 20th in the 3000m steeplechase, just six spots from qualifying for the finals. She posted a time of 10:28.35 in the event.
Competing in the Junior Nationals, Kauffman hit the track in the 800m dash and finished 23rd with a time of 1:57.46 in the event. A rising sophomore, he will return to Charlotte this fall with the cross country team.
The final competitor for Charlotte in Indianapolis this weekend, senior Shareese Woods, will run in the women's 200m dash, which starts preliminaries Saturday afternoon at 4:30 p.m.
