PALO ALTO, Calif. - The Charlotte 49ers track and field team sent a pair of representatives to Stanford this weekend, competing in the Cardinal Invitational. Ian Dickinson ran in the 5,000 meters, while Josh Baker ran in the 1,500.

Dickinson placed 11th in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 14:23.50. His time is the 49ers' fastest this season. In the 1,500-meter run, Baker finished 53rd with a time of 3:52.59. His mark was also the team's season-best.

The Niners' track and field team returns to action this weekend, when they compete at the Conference USA Championships. The meet is being hosted by Louisville.
