Knoxville, Tenn. - The Charlotte 49ers track and field teams wrapped up two days of competition at the University of Tennessee's Sea Ray Relays on Saturday, posting two school records and six more NCAA Regional Championship qualifications.
Along with Friday's results (Recap), that brings the teams' two-day haul at Sea Rays to 11 NCAA-qualifying marks.
WOMEN'S RECAP
Shareese Woods and Courtney Patterson led the way for the women's competitors, with each setting a new school record and posting NCAA Regional-qualifying times.
Both Woods and Patterson turned in NCAA Regional Championship-qualifying times while running in the 200-meter dash invitational.
Woods was fifth overall, and the third collegiate finisher, shattering her own school record with a time of 23.25. She previously had broken the mark with a time of 23.44 earlier this season.
That time for Shareese is a USA Track & Field Outdoor National Championships "A" time, meaning she automatically qualifies for the meet this summer in Indianapolis. That time would have put her fifth on last week's national descending order list.
Patterson finished in 23.83 for 11th place. That is the second-fastest time in school history.
In the women's 100-meter dash invitational, Courtney Patterson was the top collegiate finisher and second overall. She crossed the line with an NCAA Regional and school-record time of 11.43.
That time is also a USATF Championships "B" time, meaning a provisional qualification to that meet for this summer. It was just off the automatic time standard.
Patterson also broke the record on Friday, but that time was wind-aided. This mark, however, does count toward the record, and improves upon her own Charlotte mark by 0.15 second.

The 4x400-relay was 15th in 3:45.28, the fifth-fastest time in 49er annals.
In the long jump, Pat Springs was ninth. She covered a distance of 19' 3.5". It would have been Pat's personal-best distance at Charlotte, but was wind-aided and will not count toward the school's all-time marks.
MEN'S RECAP
In the men's 200-meter dash invitational, sophomore Jason Moore finished ninth with an NCAA Regional-qualifying time of 21.18. That is Moore's new personal best time, one one-hundredth of a second better than his previous best.
The men's 4x100-meter relay finished fourth overall, with an NCAA Regional time of 40.25. That is the fourth-fastest time in school history.
The 4x400-meter relay was 19th overall in 3:14.75.
