CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Charlotte 49ers track and field team held their final home meet of the season Saturday, hosting the Charlotte Invitational at the Irwin Belk Track and Field Center. The 49ers' men finished first with 252 points, while the women placed third with 129.5 points. Navy was first among the women's teams with 166.5 points.

The men broke school records in three events. Derrick Johnson won both the 100- and 200-meter dashes with school-record times of 10.55 and 21.05, respectively. Matt Rausch was responsible for the Niners' other new record, topping his own previous best with a throw of 161'4" to win the discus. Rausch also posted a provisional qualifying mark in the hammer for the second-straight week with a 203'2" toss in the hammer, less than a foot short of his record mark last week at Duke.

Michelle Dixon represented the women, lowering her own school record in the 100. She won the event with a time of 11.84.
