KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - The Charlotte 49ers' Brad Bailey finished eighth in the decathlon at Tennessee's Sea Ray Relays, Thursday. Originally an alternate for the meet, Bailey learned there was a spot open on Tuesday for the two-day event.

Bailey finished eighth out of 11 competitors with 6,557 points. He climbed two spots on the final day. After the day one, he was 10th in the standings with 3,407 points.

This weekend, the 49ers host the Charlotte Invitational. The meet will be held on Saturday at the Irwin Belk Track and Field Center. Admission is free.
