CLEMSON, S.C. - The track and field teams posted three NCAA regional qualifying marks and broke four school records at the Clemson Collegiate Series this past weekend. Adam Evans and Abe Morlu qualified for regionals in the 400 and triple jump for the men, while Sharonda Johnson qualified in the high jump for the women.
Evans posted a time of 47.10 in the 400 meters to finish third overall. In addition to being a qualifying mark, it also broke the school record. Morlu won the triple jump with a distance of 50'1.25".
Johnson finished second in the high jump for the women, clearing a height of 5'7". Danielle Taylor broke her own school record in the pole vault with a height of 11'6.25". Klara Jarolimova broke the school record in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 12:45.50.
This Saturday, the team hosts the Charlotte Invitational.
