DAVIDSON, N.C. - The Charlotte women's track and field team broke a pair of records at the Belk Invitational held at Davidson Saturday afternoon.

Amber Reddick broke her own record in the triple jump, covering a distance of 40'5.5" to win the event. Thrower Jenn Carcagente also broke her own record. She threw the javelin 128'11" to finish second. Each of the previous marks were set at last season's Conference USA Championships.

The men's and women's teams combined to break four stadium meet records. Twann Atkins lowered the mark in the 110 hurdles with a time 14.27 to win the event. On the women's side, Krystal Fowler ran a 14.73 in the 100 hurdles, which was fast enough to win the event and set a record. In addition to Reddick's record in the triple jump, she also raised the bar in the long jump with a 18'9" performance.
