WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Charlotte 49ers track and field teams continued their season Saturday, competing at the Wake Forest Relays. The 49ers men and women combined to post wins in seven events, including five for the women and two for the men.

Charlotte's women won three field events. Adrienne Barnette finished first in the high jump for Charlotte, clearing a height of 5'5". Amber Reddick won the triple jump, covering a distance of 38'9.5". Jennifer Costarino capped the 49ers effort in field events, winning the javelin throw with 114'9" effort. In the sprints, Michelle Dixon won the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.21. The Niners also won the 4x100 relay with a 47.20 time.

On the men's side, Twann Atkins won the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 14.58, his second-best mark of the season. Matt Rausch also finished first for the men. He placed first in the shot put with a throw of 56'0.5".

Charlotte returns to action next weekend at the Raleigh Relays, hosted by NC State.
