GAINESVILLE, Fla. - The Charlotte 49ers sent participants to their second meet in as many days, competing at the Florida Fast Times meet in Gainesville.

Michelle Dixon posted the best finish for the 49ers, placing fourth in the 55-meter dash with a time of 7.05. Bernadette Washington also competed for the Niners. She ran the team's fastest time of the year in the 400 with a 58.16 time and finished seventh.

For the men, Twann Atkins was sixth in the 55-meter hurdles with a time of 7.40. Derrick Johnson placed eighth in the 55 meters with a 6.43.

Charlotte returns to action Friday. Will Montgomery will compete in the long jump at the USA Track and Field Championships. The 49ers will also run at Notre Dame's Alex Wilson Invitational this weekend.
