CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - The Charlotte 49ers Monica Turner and Amber Reddick finished first and second, respectively, in the long jump at North Carolina's Last Chance Qualifier meet Wednesday in Chapel Hill. The meet is the first of three for the 49ers this week.

Turner won the long jump with a distance of 17'8.75". It was her second-straight win in the event after claiming first at last weekend's Conference USA Championships. Reddick finished right behind her with a 17'8" effort. Reddick also competed in the triple jump, placing third with a 38'6.25" mark.

Matt Rausch posted the highest finish for the men. He was third in the weight throw with a 60'8.75" toss. Will Montgomery finished fourth in the high jump after clearing a height of 6'6".

The Niners will compete at Florida on Thursday before heading to New York for this weekend's USA Track and Field Championships and Notre Dame's Alex Wilson Invitational.
