CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - The Charlotte 49ers track and field teams continued their seasons at the North Carolina Fast Times meet in Chapel Hill, N.C., Saturday. The Niners won five events, including four for the men and one for the women.

Koiyan Morlu won the 60-meter dash with a time of 6.80. Freshman Derrick Johnson also had a first-place showing, winning the 200 with a time of 22.02. Will Montgomery finished first in the long jump, covering a distance of 24'3.5". Matt Rausch capped the men's victories, winning the shot put with a throw of 54'10.25".

For the women, the 49ers won the distance medley relay with a time of 12:47.12. Michelle Dixon nearly posted another win for the women. She was second in the 60 with a season-best time of 7.63.

Charlotte returns to action in two weeks, when they compete at the Conference USA Indoor Championships in Bloomington, Ind.
