Dear Visiting Women's Basketball Athletic Trainer,

On behalf of the Charlotte Athletic and Sports Medicine staff, I would like to take the time to welcome you and your team to Charlotte for the 2009-2010 Women's Basketball Season. We hope you enjoy your stay! The following information will be useful in preparation for your visit.

Halton Arena, which is located in the Student Activity Center (SAC), will serve as the game venue. The Dr. David Johnston Athletic Training Room is located on the basement level of the SAC (room # 090). It will be open one hour prior to shoot around and practice sessions and two hours prior to competition. A certified athletic trainer and team physician will be present at all games.

The athletic training room is equipped with the following:

• Electrical Stimulation Units
• Ultrasound Units
• Hydrocollator Unit
• Paraffin Wax
• Game Ready
• Whirlpools
• Treadmill & Exercise Bike
• Biohazard Supplies

The following items will be provided courtside during all practices and games:

• Water & Cups
• Injury Ice
• Biohazard Supplies
• AED*
• Vacuum Splints*
• Crutches*

In the event that an athletic trainer is unable to accompany your team, please contact me 48 hours prior to their arrival, with instructions for treatment parameters and taping. Also, send a written copy of these instructions with your team. Please send emergency information (insurance info, emergency contact numbers, etc...) with them as well.
