Charlotte, N.C. - As of the close of business, Friday, Nov. 7, the 49ers had received reservations for 4010 Forty-Niner Seat Licenses (FSL's). That translates to a projected $4,010,000 worth of support for 49ers football since Chancellor Dr. Phil Dubois' recommendation to add football was made on Thursday, Sept. 18. At this time, no money has been accepted by the 49ers ticket office. The 49ers will await the UNC Charlotte Board of Trustees' final vote on November 13 before beginning the sale of FSL's and football tickets.
The Chancellor's recommendation called for the sale of 5000 FSL's in the first six months after the Board of Trustees' approval. With 4010 reservations, the 49ers have passed 80% of that goal a week prior to the Board of Trustees' vote.
Seventy-one percent of the account holders are not currently members of the 49er Club and 71% of the account holders are alumni.
Interested fans and corporations are encouraged to add their names to the growing reservation list by calling the 49ers ticket office at 704/687-4949 or the 49ers Athletic Foundation at 704/687-4950 or by logging on to the 49ers official athletic website, www.charlotte49ers.com.
