Greene Accepts Position at Stanford

Charlotte, N.C. - Charlotte 49ers Director of Athletics Judy Rose has announced that Head Strength & Conditioning Coach Preston Greene, who is in his sixth-year with the 49ers, has submitted his resignation effective Sept. 19, 2008, so that he can take a similar position with Stanford University.
A 1999 graduate of Clemson University, he received his Master's Degree from Minnesota in 2000. He served as an assistant strength coach at Arizona for two years before joining the Charlotte 49ers, significantly elevating the 49ers strength and conditioning program.
A national search for his replacement will begin immediately.
