Stephen Doughton is in his first season as Associate Director of Basketball Operations. He joined the 49ers coaching staff after spending the last four years as a team manager for the Charlotte 49ers men's basketball program.

His primary responsibilities as associate director of basketball operations are coordinating team travel, manage day-to-day operations, handling the recruiting database and compliance paperwork, organizing community service events and assisting with the Alan Major Camps.

The Winston-Salem, North Carolina native graduated from Charlotte with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice in 2012.

In 2008, Doughton founded the Stephen Doughton Jr. Foundation for Cancer Research. The Foundation has raised over $70,000 for Cancer Research since its inception.
