Position:

A.J. Lukjanczuk arrived at Charlotte in the summer of 2012 as the Head Football Athletic Trainer. In this role, he oversees the operation of all things related to athletic training of the Charlotte football program. A.J. came to Charlotte after serving as Associate Athletic Trainer (Head Football) at Elon University for seven years. He oversaw all athletic training duties for the Phoenix program, Men's and Women's Golf teams while also serving as an Approved Clinical Instructor in an outreach athletic training curriculum. During the spring of 2005, A.J. worked as an assistant athletic trainer for the Berlin Thunder of NFL Europe. A.J. served as a seasonal intern for the New York Jets during from 2003-04.

He earned a Masters of Education in Sports Administration from Northwestern State University in Louisiana in 2004. While at NSU, he was a graduate assistant athletic trainer responsible for the care and prevention of injuries for the Football and Men's Basketball team. A.J. graduated Elon University in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training.

Originally from Milltown, N.J. he resides in Charlotte with fiancé Shelley and there 2 dogs Trixie and Tia. In his free time, A.J. is an avid golfer, enjoys watching sports and spending time with family and friends.
