CHARLOTTE, NC - The Charlotte 49ers are getting ready for Kick-Off 2013 by taking part in a football past time - tailgating - beginning this weekend as the Carolina Panthers open their home schedule on Sunday, September 16, for the second season of the Uptown Tailgate presented by Bealer Wholesale. The tailgate will take place from 10am-1pm in the 700 South Poplar Street lower lot located at the corner of South Mint Street and West Stonewall Street. The 49ers tailgate will be recognizible by the Charlotte 49ers tent in the lot located just outside of the East entrance of Bank of America Stadium.

Football fans will have the opportunity to meet and mingle with members of the 49ers football staff along with mascot Norm the Niner. The schedule poster commemorating the 49ers inaugural season will be available, along with seat license information, 49ers giveaways - including stadium cups and eye black, and more. Also cornhole boards will be set-up for fans and there will be opportunities to take home a Kick-Off 2013 t-shirt.

The tailgate will begin Sunday, September 16 and continue prior to Panthers home games on the following dates at the same location: September 20, October 7, October 21, November 11, November 18, December 9, and December 23.
