Opened in 2006, The 49er golf program's short-game practice facility is located at Rocky River Golf Club in nearby Concord, N.C. A result of the collaborative effort of the University and the City of Concord, it provides 49ers golfers with a place to practice each and every aspect of their game, any day of the week. The facility includes an 8,500 square-foot bent grass putting green, chipping areas of both zoysia and bermuda grasses, a green side and fairway bunker and a 22,000 square-foot practice tee.

The facility, located adjacent to #2 tee, also includes a full locker room equipped with bathroom/shower facilities. Each player has his own individual locker to store all personal items.

The facility also features indoor hitting bays for those rainy days. It also includes a state-of-the-art swing analysis system. The walls are decorated with historical 49ers golf achievements and murals.

The facility includes a rec-room that features a full-size ping pong table and space for the players to relax.
