Conference History: This will be ODU’s first year in Conference USA. They were previously members of the Colonial Athletic Association since 1991.

Athletic Accomplishments: Men’s Basketball holds six conference titles, the most of any Colonial Athletic Association schools. In 2010, the Monarchs men’s basketball program received a bid to the NCAA tournament and upset sixth-ranked Notre Dame. Women’s Basketball won three national titles and won 17 consecutive CAA titles.
Noteworthy Accomplishments: ODU was the first school to award an athletic scholarship to a female in the state of Virginia. In 2011, the Folkes- Stevens Tennis Center was voted the #1 tennis center in Virginia. Old Dominion re-started their football program in 2009, and has sold out every game with 28 consecutive sellouts in four years.
