Academics

Fans are asked to honor and respect the core mission of the University - teaching, research, and service - by not disrupting academic activities that are in progress on game day.

 

Access

All patrons enter the Charlotte 49ers Football Stadium on the main concourse level of the facility. All gates are wheelchair-accessible.

 

Alcohol

Alcoholic beverages are NOT permitted inside the stadium. Alcohol brought into the stadium will be confiscated and the person with alcohol will be asked to leave. Guests appearing to be intoxicated will be subject to ejection and turned over to police. Alcohol is permitted in tailgating area.

Accessible Seating for Disabled Patrons

Accessible seating with an un-obstructed view of the stadium playing surface is available throughout the 49ers football stadium, in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. To request accessible seating, please contact the 49ers Ticket Office at 704-687-4949 in advance.  For patron needs on game day, please visit the stadium ticket office beside Gate 1.  These seats are reserved for those persons who use wheelchairs or are unable to use stairs, and their companions. Each person must possess a reserved ticket for each seat location. Tickets for ADA locations can be purchased in advance. Those with needs on game day may exchange their ticket for accessible seating at the Charlotte 49ers Football Stadium Ticket Office. Low vision seating is available upon request.

 

Animals

Animals are not permitted in or on stadium grounds, with the exception of trained service animals.

 

Assistive Listening Devices

For hearing impaired patrons, assistive listening devices are available at Guest Services located inside Gate 1 by the ticket office.

 

ATM Locations

ATMs are available at the Student Union and outside of the Prospector on game day.

Baby Changing Stations

Located in the family restrooms on the concourse level of the Charlotte 49ers Football Stadium.

 

Bag-Check Policy

All persons and bags are subject to search at the gate. Backpacks and large bags (8x10x14 or larger) are prohibited. Diaper bags are permitted. Baby must be with the parent or guardian and bag must be no larger than the size listed above.

 

Banners/Flags/Signs

Handheld banners/signs are approved as long as they represent good sportsmanship and do not block the view of others. Flags are approved; however, flag poles are not allowed and flags cannot block the view of others. Banners must not bear the logo or other identification of any company which is a business conflict with athletic department partners. All banners, flags, or signs must be flame retardant material and may not be affixed to or draped over any part of the stadium structure.

 

Bojangles' Junior 49ers Club

We know that Norm loves all Niner fans, but his favorite fans are the kids! That is why Norm and his good friends at Bojangles' have created the Bojangles' Junior 49er Club. This is a special club for youth in the 8th grade and under who want to help him cheer on the Niners. The cost to join is only $25 and $15 for each additional child. So join today and help Norm cheer all of our teams on to victory!

 

Bottle Filling Stations

Bottle filling stations are available on the concourse on the Charlotte 49ers Football Stadium. Empty translucent plastic water bottles will be permitted in the stadium for use at the bottle filling stations.

Cameras

Still cameras with lenses less than four inches are allowed. Flash photography and stand/tripods are prohibited. Video cameras are not allowed in the stadium.

 

Cellular Phones and Pagers

The use of cellular phones and pagers is permitted, provided they do not interfere with another patron's ability to enjoy the game.

 

Children/Infant Admission Policy

Everyone two (2) years of age and older must have a valid ticket to gain entry to the 49ers football stadium. Admission for youth under the age of two is free of charge. Children under the age of two who are admitted free must sit on their parent's lap.

 

 Closed Captioning

This service is available BY REQUEST no later than two weeks prior to the event requested. To request, please contact the 49ers Ticket Office by emailing niner@uncc.edu or calling 704-687-4949. A University representative will follow-up with confirmation. Closed captioning will be delivered through a device which can be checked out at our Guest Services location inside the gate (at the back of the stadium Ticket Office). Patrons who want to use the service must leave a valid driver’s license in order to check out the device. 

 

Concessions

Chartwells, a division of the Compass Group, is the concessionaire for games at the 49ers football stadium. Point of sale locations are found on the concourse level of the stadium. Concession carts will also be available throughout the concourse level of the stadium.

Emergency and Evacuation Plan

In the event of a serious emergency evacuation, information and instructions will be provided over the public address system and on the scoreboard. Event staff will be available to guide patrons.

Fan Behavior

The Charlotte 49ers strive to provide an enjoyable experience for each fan at hosted sporting events while providing an exciting home atmosphere. All members of our game day staff are committed to proactively supporting an environment where patrons and their families, friends, and/or clients can enjoy their experience free from any of the following:

  • Obscene or abusive language and/or behavior
  • Offensive clothing
  • Fighting, taunting, or threatening remarks and/or gentures
  • Intoxication or signs of impairment related to alcohol or drugs
  • Irresponsible behavior
  • Any distraction to the progress of the game
  • Obstructing the flow of patron traffic in aisles, walkways, or on the concourse
  • Throwing objects of any kind
  • Occupying any seat or ticketed area without the appropriate ticket
  • Other actions that cause a disruption and/or hinder enjoyment of the game for other fans

To report a disruptive individual, please notify a uniformed officer or event staff member. Individuals found to be violating these standards may be asked to leave the premises and/or be subject to criminal sanctions. Students may also be subject to the sanctions of the University's Code of Conduct.

 

Feedback

Fans are encouraged to e-mail any feedback regarding the game day experience (questions, complaints, concerns, etc. ) at the Charlotte 49ers Football Stadium to niner@uncc.edu.

 

First Aid

First aid stations will be located in a tent between gates 3 and 4, as well as in a mobile unit outside of gate 1. Notify the nearest event staff member to assist, if necessary.

 

49er Club

The Charlotte 49ers Athletic Foundation provides scholarship assistance for nearly 300 male and female student athletes in 17 varsity sports. Established in 1969, the Foundation has developed into a vitally important support group, pursuing excellence, integrity, and pride in the University's athletic program. Game Programs

Game programs will be distributed at all gates while supplies last. There will be no cost for game programs.

 

Gates Open

Gates to the Charlotte 49ers Football Stadium will open an hour and a half prior to kick off.

 

Golf Carts

Golf carts and other select motorized vehicles (motorized scooters, segways, mopeds, etc.) are not permitted on campus for patron use on game day, unless for use by guests with disabilities.

 

Greenway

The greenway is open to pedestrian traffic only. Motorized vehicles should not be used on the greenway. Tailgating is prohibited in this area.

 

Guest Services

Guests may find assistance at Guest Services located at Gate 1 near the Ticket Office. In case of an emergency, notify a uniformed officer or event staff member

 

L
 

Lost Children

Parental Identification wristbands may be obtained at Guest Services upon arriving at the Charlotte 49ers Football Stadium. If a child is lost from parents/guardians, either party should contact the nearest uniformed office or event staff member. That individual will notify the proper personnel to implement the necessary procedures.

 

Lost and Found

All lost and found items are to be turned in to Guest Services. After game day, please contact the Fieldhouse Manager at 704.687.1836.

 

Lost or Stolen Tickets

While lost or stolen tickets are not the responsibility of management, fans are encouraged to contact the 49ers Ticket Office in advance of game day to pursue alternative options. The Ticket Office can be contacted by phone at 704.687.4949.

Media

Contact Media Relations at 704.687.1022 in advance of game day for credential and access requirements. Media credential pick up and stadium access will be available at the Ticket Office on game day.

 

Merchandise

Barnes and Noble is the 49ers merchandise provider for games at the Charlotte 49ers Football Stadium. Merchandise may be purchased at the stands located on the main concourse level. Check out the Charlotte49ers.com store for purchases before the game!

Parking and Traffic Flow

All parking lots will open four hours prior to kick off. Season parking passes for FSL Account Holders or Season Ticket Purchasers can be purchased through the 49ers Athletic Foundation by calling 704.687.4950. There are several options available for those who own FSLs or who have purchased season tickets.  Single game parking permits may be purchased in advance of game day for those purchasing single game tickets, visiting team guests, parents of players, etc.  Options available for single game parking permits include Silver Lot 25 (surface lot where tailgating is permitted), Orange CRI Deck (closest deck to the stadium and ADA parking), Yellow Union Deck and Purple West Deck.  Single game permits may be purchased online by clicking here. Prohibited Items

The following items may not be brought into the 49ers football stadium:

  • Alcoholic beverages or illegal drugs
  • Artificial noise makers (i.e. cowbells, horns, whistles, drums, megaphones, etc.)
  • Backpacks and large bags (8"x10"x14" or larger)
  • Beach balls and frisbees
  • Cameras with 4" lenses or larger
  • Containers for liquids (cans, cups, bottles, etc.) - Exception is empty clear plastic bottles
  • Fireworks, firearms, explosives, mace, pepper spray or other weapons
  • Glass or aluminum bottles
  • Items that can be thrown such as balls or frisbees
  • Laser lights and pointers
  • Lawn chairs or folding chairs
  • Outside food and beverages
  • Personal heaters
  • Pets (service animals permitted in accordance with ADA)
  • Stadium seats with armrests, folding chairs
  • Strollers
  • Use of tobacco products or e-cigs
  • Umbrellas
  • Video cameras and tripods
  • Any item deemed inappropriate by event staff

Radios

Personal radios with headphones are permitted inside of the Charlotte 49ers Football Stadium, provided they do not interfere with another patron's ability to enjoy the game.

 

Recycling and Trash

Please assist in maintaining the beauty of the Charlotte 49ers Football Stadium by disposing your trash, compostables, and recyclables into the appropriate bins located throughout the concouse and parking areas.

 

Re-Entry Policy

There is NO re-entry into the Charlotte 49ers Football Stadium. Once a person leaves the facility, he or she will not be permitted to re-enter the facility.

 

Restrooms

Restroom facilities are located on the concourse level of the 49ers football stadium and will be available when the gates open 90 minutes prior to kick off. Prior to gates opening portable units will be available throughout the parking areas. Family restrooms are located next to the restrooms on the concourse level of the stadium.

 

S
 

Smoking Policy

Smoking is not permitted in the stadium or within 100 feet of the facility. This includes electronic cigarettes.

 

Solicitation

Solicitation on the UNC Charlotte campus, without the express written consent of UNC Charlotte or its agents, is strictly prohibited. This is including, but not limited to:

  • Distribution of leaflets or other printed material
  • Distribution of products or performing services, whether for consideration or free
  • Taking surveys or otherwise interfering with the free movement of guests.

Violators are subject to prosecution.

 

Sportsmanship

The Charlotte 49ers promote good sportsmanship by student-athletes, coaches, and spectators. We request fan cooperation by supporting the participants and officials in a positive manner. Profanity, racial or sexist comments, or other intimidating actions directed at officials, student-athletes, coaches, team representatives or other fans is prohibited.

 

Strollers

Strollers are prohibited in seating areas and on the concourse of the stadium. However, strollers may be checked at Guest Services. Infant carriers/seats are permitted only if the guest has an additional ticket for the carrier. Guest services and the Charlotte 49ers Department of Athletics are not responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged items.  Checked items are not protected from weather.

 

Student Parking

UNC Charlotte student parking is available in lots 5, 5A, and 6. Parking is FREE for students and a permit must be obtained via an online process which will be activated Tuesday prior to game day at 9 am. Students unable to obtain a pass for the designated lots will be able to park in East Deck 1, 2, and 3. For tailgating information in these lots, refer to the tailgating policy by clicking here.

 

Student Tickets

UNC Charlotte student tickets are FREE and will be made available online at Ticketreturn.com/49ers via the student ticketing process. Students must go online for their ticket. Student tickets will not be available at the 49ers football stadium.

The Charlotte 49ers Football Stadium Ticket Office is located adjacent to Gate 1 of the stadium. The stadium ticket office will be open two hours prior to kick off. Tobacco Products

Umbrellas are not permitted inside the Charlotte 49ers Football Stadium.

Weather Evacuation

In the event of inclement weather (i.e. dangerous winds, tornado, electrical storm, etc.) all patrons will be evacuated from the facility. Emergency instructions will be delivered via the public address system and scoreboard (if available).

When lightning is detected within a minimum of 10 miles of the competition site, home team game management shall utilize the public address system to inform those in attendance that inclement weather including lightning is within 10 (or more) miles of the facility and that patrons should vacate the facility for safer shelter. They will be allowed to re-enter with a ticket stub for that game day. When lightning is detected within 6 miles of the competition site, the competition shall be suspended. Competition may be resumed after 30 minutes of no detected lightning strikes within a 6 mile radius. A 10 minute warm up period may be granted following the 30 minute game suspension.

 

Will Call

General will call is located at the Charlotte 49ers Football Stadium Ticket Office adjacent to Gate 1. General will call will open two hours prior to kick off. Tickets for Charlotte 49ers player and coach guests, recruits and prospects, and high school coaches are also near Gate 1 next to the ticket office and will be available an hour and a half prior to kick off. Tickets and entry for the visiting team guest are also near Gate 1 next to the ticket office and will be available an hour and a half prior to kick off. Photo identification is required for picking up tickets.
