The Charlotte 49ers (12-12; 4-7, A-10) travel to Richmond, Saturday. Both Charlotte (T10th, 4-7) and Richmond (12th, 4-8) have four A-10 wins, but Charlotte holds a half-game lead in the standings. Javarris Barnett scored 22 points as Charlotte defeated Richmond, 75-70 at home to open the A-10 season. Charlotte has won two of its last three league games and has more wins (12) and more A-10 wins (4) than last year. Chris Braswell is 24 points shy of 1000.
KEY STRETCH: Charlotte's next two games are against teams the 49ers are tied with in the A-10 win column. The 49ers (4-7) face Richmond (4-8) and George Washington (4-7). Charlotte is tied with George Washington for 10th in the A-10 standings, a half-game in front of 12th-place Richmond.
