49ers' Student-Athletes Finish With 43 Medals

Irving, Texas- A total of 670 student-athletes have earned the Conference USA Commissioner's Academic Medal during the 2013-14 academic year, Commissioner Britton Banowsky announced today.  C-USA student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.75 or better received the Medal.

Forty three Charlotte student-athletes received the Commissioner's Academic Medal.  Women's Track and Field received the highest number of medals with 10 student-athletes.  Women's Soccer received six student-athletes, Volleyball (5), Women's Tennis (4), Baseball, Softball, Men's Soccer, and Men's Tennis racked up three apiece.  Men's Track and Field placed two student-athletes on the list with Football, Men's Golf, Men's and Women's Basketball receiving one medal each.

Zach Greth, Coye Still, Brandes Dey, Kendra Lizotte, Caragh MacDermott, Chelsea Matson, Nicole Morgan, Aleisha Murrell, Jasmine Patterson, Brittany Plummer, Morgan Richards and Kim Spano.

Volleyball:

Taylor Cannon, Laura Cantrell, Michelle Hovey, Carly Ochs and Amanda Videmsek
