![]() The Charlotte 49ers men's basketball team defeated the Bahamas Giants, who have won two straight Bahamas Championships, 88-63. Sophomore Terrence Williams led the 49ers with 21 points while shooting 10-for-15 from the field. Sophomore Pierria Henry added 16 points and seven assists to the 49ers attack. Freshman Darion Clark rounded out the 49ers double-figure scorers with 11 points. He also grabbed five rebounds. Fellow freshman Denzel Ingram sparked a 49ers third quarter run by hitting a three from the corner. Then, he recorded a steal which led to a 49ers dunk on the Giants next possession. The 49ers led the Giants, 35-25, at the half. Charlotte outrebounded the Bahamas Giants by 15 boards. Charlotte plays their second and final game of their five-day Bahamas trip on Thursday, August 16. |
