Jennifer Winningham began with the 49ers in the fall of 2013 and works with the women's basketball program.
For the past five years, she has been the Assistant Athletic Trainer at ULM, working with women's basketball and handling medical insurance coordination for the entire athletics department. She assisted with travel for football, including the 2012 Independence Bowl. She taught classes within the department of kinesiology.
She received a B.S. in English-journalism in 2003 from Tennessee Tech University. She then became a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer at Louisiana Tech, working with volleyball and softball until receiving her M.S. in science health and exercise science in 2005.
She then returned to Tennessee Tech for four years as an Assistant Athletic Trainer with the Golden Eagles women's soccer and softball programs. She handled medical insurance for athletics and covered women's basketball, women's soccer and softball in her last season. She assigned and oversaw graduate assistants to work with tennis and track and field programs before she went to Monroe.
She is a BOC Certified Athletic Trainer by the National Athletic Trainers Association. She lists her hobbies as spending time with family and friends and watching sports. She resides in Gastonia with her husband Shon.
