Women’s tennis match Sunday cancelled
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The wintry weather that went through the Charlotte area has left enough behind, including a layer of ice on the Halton-Wagner Tennis Complex courts, leaving the 49ers having to cancel their Sunday morning match with FIU.

The contest will not be rescheduled, although it was slated to be the Conference USA opener for both programs. The league has no set regular-season schedule for teams to play prior to the conference tournament in April, held at Old Dominion.

Charlotte will attempt to get back on the courts Wednesday when it faces Winthrop at 2 p.m. at its on-campus home facility. The match is a rescheduled date after the two teams were unable to meet this past week due to the inclement weather.
