Sixth-seeded Charlotte blanked 11th-seeded La Salle 4-0 to open the Atlantic 10 Conference Men's Tennis Championships Friday. Charlotte is now 6-15 on the season and will face off against third-seeded Temple Friday night at 10 Eastern. The Championships have experienced delays due to weather issues, forcing relocation of the matches across town and indoors.

After capturing the doubles point, the Niners needed just three singles wins to claim the match, doing so at the top three spots in the lineup in straight sets. Charles Martin-Lecamp won at number one 6-1, 6-0, with Michael Anders taking his number-two match by the identical score. Moritz Bernhoerster won at number three 6-2, 6-0.

Martin-Lecamp leads the team with 13 singles wins, with Anders and Bernhoerster close behind with 12 each. Martin-Lecamp has won all four matches against the top players from four different Atlantic 10 Conference opponents.

Late Charlotte results from Friday night will be reported on Saturday morning.
