Wednesday's scheduled baseball contest between visiting Charlotte and host USC Upstate has been canceled, as has the men's tennis home match scheduled against The Citadel. The baseball game will not be made up on the schedule. Men's tennis will attempt to play Thursday in Charlotte.

The Spartans will still make a regularly-scheduled return baseball trip to Charlotte on Wednesday, April 13.

Baseball comes off a 4-3 home win Tuesday against No. 6 North Carolina, and will next host an Atlantic 10 Conference weekend series against Xavier, beginning Friday night at 6 p.m. Both teams are among five tied atop the league standings, at 2-1. Postgame fireworks, sponsored by Amtrak, will follow Friday's contest at Robert and Mariam Hayes Stadium.

Men's tennis has won two in a row and if  they cannot play Thursday, their next scheduled match will be at home Friday at 2:30 p.m. against Appalachian State.
