Anthony Davison is now 3-1 at number-four singles after a win Wednesday
Juniors Anthony Davison and Charles Martin-Lecamp took singles victories Wednesday afternoon as Charlotte lost 5-2 at Davidson. The match was a make-up from a rainout from the day before. Davison won 6-4, 6-3 at number four singles, while Martin-Lecamp took his number-one match 6-4, 6-4. Davison earned his sixth win of the year in singles, while Martin-Lecamp improved his singles record to 9-10. "Ultimately, this match came down to a few points here and there," said Niners head coach Billy Boykin. "Unfortunately for us, they won all of those points. We started well in doubles, but couldn't hold off a late charge from the Davidson pairings. In singles, we got wins from Charly Martin-Lecamp at number one and Anthony Davison at number four. Both Charly and Ant played solid tennis today. As a group, we are learning something new each time out and I am pleased with the way that we are competing." Charlotte hosts UNC Greensboro Thursday at 2:30 p.m.
