Sophomore Krzysztof Kwasniewicz won his fourth singles match of the season and scored a point for Charlotte in a 6-1 home loss to Liberty Sunday afternoon at the Halton-Wagner Complex. Charlotte falls to 3-8 on the season. Liberty is 3-6.

Kwasniewicz won at number five in straight sets, 6-1, 7-6 (1) for his first win at the number-five spot.

"We worked hard out there on the courts today, but came up short," said Charlotte head coach Billy Boykin. "Liberty came out firing in the doubles and showed tremendous energy throughout the singles. We never really played our best tennis during the singles, but fought back to stretch some of the matches to three sets. We'll hit the practice courts this week and keep working."

The Niners will host UNC Asheville to continue the home stand on Friday at 2:30 p.m.
