Junior Charles Martin-Lecamp moved to 6-6 in singles with a win at number one on Thursday.
The Charlotte 49ers men's tennis team fell 4-3 in a back-and-forth match to conference foe St. Bonaventure late Thursday night in a neutral-site match at Virginia Tech.
"This match was a battle from start to finish," said Niners head coach Billy Boykin. "Both teams competed very hard and it really could have gone either way. I give credit to Coach Bates and senior-led St. Bonaventure team: they outplayed us on the big points. We're still learning as a team and I believe that our best tennis is still in front of us."
