ITA Summer Circuit makes Charlotte stop
SKILLMAN, N.J. – Charlotte’s Halton-Wagner Tennis Complex will serve as a host site for an upcoming ITA Summer Circuit tour stop, July 19-22. The on-campus facility, which houses the home courts for the 49ers’ men’s and women’s tennis teams, opened officially in the spring of 2012 and has helped both programs continue their rise in the Conference USA standings.

The ITA Summer Circuit is designed to provide college (and junior and alumni) players the opportunity to compete in organized events virtually year round. Although the primary focus of the circuit is to provide incoming freshmen and collegiate players the chance to compete in the summer months, for NCAA compliance purposes, the events within the ITA Summer Circuit are categorized as “open”; therefore, anyone is eligible to compete in these events as long as he or she is a current ITA member.

Head men’s tennis coach Billy Boykin will serve as the tournament director, with assistance from head women’s tennis coach Michaela Gorman.
