Jordi Massalle Ferrer, who has won ten of his last 12 matches, has tallied 17 singles wins this season. Paul Cisti, who has won six straight matches, has 13 singles wins. Jack Williams has 11 singles wins this season.
The doubles team of Massalle Ferrer and Kamil Khalil have spent time this season in the ITA National rankings. They have posted an 11-1 record so far this year. The doubles team of Cisti and Edwards have an 8-3 record this season.
Tuesday’s match will mark the ninth meeting between the Charlotte and Presbyterian. The series is tied at four wins apiece. Charlotte lost to Presbyterian, 4-2, in their last meeting which came at Charlotte’s Halton-Wagner Tennis Complex, April 14, 2013. Massalle Ferrer and Khalil posted singles victories in that match. The 49ers defeated Presbyterian, 5-2, in their last meeting at Presbyterian, February 28, 2012. Williams, Khalil, Calott and Cisti all posted singles victories in that match.
