The Charlotte 49ers charged hard in the final round to finish in eighth-place at the 18-team Seminole Intercollegiate at Southwood Golf Course, Sunday. 

The 49ers shot a final round of 4-over par 288, their best round of the tournament and the seventh-best round of the day to move from a tie for 11th to eighth-place, at +28, 880.  Arkansas won the event at -8, 844, one of four teams to shoot under par.  Charlotte finished three strokes behind seventh-place Mississippi State (+25, 877) and two strokes ahead on ninth-place North Carolina (+30, 882).

Senior Will Golden shot two-under par 69 to finish in 11th-place at +1, 214 while sophomore Andy Sajevic shot two-over par 73 to finish at +5, 218.  Olafur Loftsson shot a one-over par 72 to finish at +11, 224 and Rafael Guerrero added a +3, 74 to card a three-day +14, 227 for the 49ers.
