The North Davidson High School star helped her softball team to the 2010 4A State Championship. 2012 Fall Ball Season: Plemmons had two home runs, one being a grand slam, along with a triple.

Q: The 2013 softball season is right around the corner. What are you looking forward to most this season?

A: I am looking forward to really traveling. I was on a team that did not travel much, so I am very excited about being able to start the bonding process that I will be a part of.

Q:  You recently just got back from your final break before the season starts. What did you do?

A: I lifted with my workout schedule and I ran for the most part. I believe that I should have done more running but now I know and I'll better prepare myself for future breaks.

Q: The fall season gave you a glimpse at your team's capabilities and things that the 49ers can improve on. What do you think Charlotte's strengths will be for the season? What are some things that Charlotte can improve on?

A: I think that we work very well in the field and work together as a team. I feel that we are a good hitting team as well. I think that we could always use more offense and we'll just keep working hard as a team to improve on that.

Q: What was the most memorable moment of the fall season for you?

A:  For me it was definitely when I hit my first grand slam, it put us up 5-3 against South Carolina and we ended up winning that game.

Q: What teammate do you look up to/admire and why?

A: I think that I look up to Bri (Briana Gwaltney) the most, just because she is a senior and she really takes me under her wing.

Charlotte opens the 2013 season Friday, February 8 as it hosts the Fast Pitch Classic beginning at 1 p.m. when it takes on Wisconsin.
