Chelsea Ingersoll was named Softball Team MVP after ranking among the team leaders in several offensive categories this past season.

Ingersoll led the 49ers in home runs with 10 and on-base percentage at .455 last season. She finished the season second on the team and tenth in the Atlantic 10 with a .353 batting average. She also finished second on the team with 31 RBIs. She played in all 50 of Charlotte’s games last season.  

Ingersoll, a catcher and Charlotte native, made the Atlantic 10 Softball Academic All-Conference Team. Ingersoll, a Psychology and Pre-Biology major, has a 3.61 grade point average. She was also named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District Softball First Team.
