However they’ll have to face Katie Watkins (12-13) who has tallied 129 strikeouts which is fourth in the conference. Chelsea Lisikatos (6-8) has also contributed significantly to the 49ers’ pitching efforts.
South Carolina’s Julie Sarratt (8-5) leads the team with a 2.87 earned run average. Katie Marks (6-7), Audrey Broyles (7-8) and Katelynn Howser (3-0) have continued to provide depth for the Gamecocks in the circle.
Following Charlotte’s doubleheader against South Carolina, Charlotte will host Saint Louis on Friday, April 26 for a single game at 4 p.m. The Niners will face SLU on Saturday, April 27 for a noon game.
