East Division champs, Cullen welcome 10 newcomers
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Conference USA East Division champion Charlotte women’s soccer team and head coach John Cullen have announced the addition of 10 new commitments to the program for the upcoming 2014 campaign. The 10 players hail from seven states and include a trio of local products as the 49ers look to build upon a solid foundation laid in their first season back in Conference USA.

“As always, with every recruiting class, we’re extremely excited to welcome these young ladies and their families to the 49ers women’s soccer program,” Cullen said. “It is an exceptionally deep class we are bringing in this year. We have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know each of these girls throughout the recruiting process and now we look forward with excitement to coaching these young ladies for the next four years.

“One of the main tasks we had when recruiting these players was looking for versatility. A lot of these players check that box for us, as they can play a number of positions for us and provide depth across the board. We are very excited to welcome them and look forward to working with them on a daily basis. I know they will be great additions to our program for many years to come on and off the field.”
