CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Charlotte women’s soccer program recently concluded another successful spring season, according to head coach John Cullen. Success to the program came in a variety of ways – wins and goals tangibly but also non-tangible attributes such as skill improvement and team cohesiveness.
With the majority of the roster healthy and a few others healing from fall injuries, it was a chance for Cullen to see a variety of combinations on the field and wage how players would mesh in different situations.
The 49ers closed the spring campaign by bringing to campus the six signees for this fall in addition to other prospects for future years. The two classes had a chance to witness to the final spring match and also were able to spend a couple of days of interaction with the current members of the program, which Cullen thought was a very rewarding experience.
Charlotte49ers.com recently had a chance to sit down with Cullen and get his thoughts on the spring, upcoming summer plans and an early look into the fall when Charlotte returns to Conference USA.
