CHARLOTTE, N.C. -
The Charlotte women's soccer
team will put a stamp on its non-conference schedule when it plays host to
Francis Marion at 7 p.m. at Transamerica Field. The 49ers have not played since
a road win at James Madison Sept. 16.
"We came back and practiced last night and looked very fresh," assistant coach
said. "We feel like that rest and excitement will carry over to
tomorrow. We're pretty confident the players are excited and ready to go."

provided the winning score against JMU, heading
home an Amanda Jones
corner kick just over four minutes into the first overtime
period for a 1-0 Niner victory. Charlotte improved to 5-3-1 on the campaign
with the triumph.

Trexler pace the squad with two goals apiece. Both scores registered by Dail
and Trexler have been game winners.
Junior goalkeeper Alex Kubrick
has keyed the Charlotte defensive effort,
posting a 0.54 goals-against average and three clean sheets in over 665 minutes
of action between the pipes.
Francis Marion enters the match with a 5-4-1 ledger after knocking off Prairie
View A&M 3-2 Friday night. The Patriots have yet to win a true road contest
this season, earning four at home and one in a neutral-site meeting versus
Elizabeth Asare has netted a program-best five goals thus far, one more than
Yasmin Bunter during the team's opening 10 games.
Taylor O'Berry has been the only goalkeeper to see action, collecting 54 saves
with a pair of blankings.
The 49ers lead the all-time series, 4-0-0, picking up a 1-0 road victory Sept.
26, 2010, in the last meeting between the two programs.
