Griffin Gum would start a string of five-straight hits for UAB to begin the one-out rally with Nathan Vincent and Ivan DeJesus picking up the first two UAB RBI. The two Charlotte errors would come into play midway through the frame becoming two more Blazer runs while Matt Morse picked up the final run batted in during the third reaching on a fielding error at short.
