49ers Play College of Charleston On The Road

Charlotte, NC – The Charlotte 49ers (9-4) play the College of Charelston on the road, Sunday, March 30 at 12 pm. The 49ers match with East Carolina that was to be played in Charleston, Saturday, March 29 has been postponed due to inclement weather.

Charlotte enters the College of Charleston match having won four of their last five matches.

Forrest Edwards is tied for the team-lead in singles wins with 17. Alex Calott, who has won four of his last five singles matches, also has 17 singles wins. Jordi Massalle Ferrer, who has won nine of his last 10 matches, has tallied 16 singles wins this season. Paul Cisti, who has won five straight matches, has 12 singles wins. Jack Williams, who has also won four of his last five matches, has 10 singles wins this season.

The doubles team of Massalle Ferrer and Kamil Khalil has spent time this season in the ITA National rankings. They have posted a 10-1 record so far this year.

Charlotte defeated College of Charleston, 4-3, in their last meeting which came at the Halton-Wagner Tennis Complex, February 10, 2013. Williams, Massalle Ferrer and Cisti all recorded singles victories. Massalle Ferrer, Williams and Khalil were part of victorious doubles teams.
