Charlotte senior captain Amanda Videmsek (Highland Heights, Ohio / Beaumont School) was named to the 2013 Conference USA All-Conference Second Team, as voted on by the league's head coaches, the league announced Tuesday. She was the only 49er on an All-Conference list.
Videmsek led the 49ers with 366 kills and a 3.45 kills-per-set average, which was 11th-best in C-USA. She became the 18th player in team history to breach the 1000-kill plateau at Charlotte, and finished 17th for her Charlotte career with 1,027 kills in her four-year career. She finished with five games of 20 or more kills and logged a team-best 10 double-doubles this season. She also led Charlotte with 94 blocks, and her 0.89 block-per-set average was 17th in the league. She was 10th overall in the league by scoring 4.03 points per set this season.
She was a 2010 All-Rookie Team honoree in the Atlantic 10 Conference.
Videmsek was one of four student-athletes on both Monday’s C-USA All-Academic Team and an All-Conference squad. She carries a 3.969 grade point average in exercise science.
Charlotte finished 12-17 overall and 2-12 in league play in 2013.
